Moving Between AI Tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini)

Overview

You cannot fully transfer chat history between AI tools so it appears in the sidebar.

However, Gemini now allows limited memory import.

Instead, you will:

1. Export your data
2. Organize it
3. Upload it into the new AI
4. (Optional) Use Gemini memory import
5. Let the new AI summarize and rebuild your context

Step 1: Export Your Data

ChatGPT Export

1. Open ChatGPT
2. Click your profile icon
3. Go to Settings
4. Click Data Controls
5. Click Export Data
6. Confirm
